Fitting Room Diaries: Entry #016, Size 34K, Full All Around/Very Projected
Customer: Sarah, Size 34K
Sarah is one of our regular fitting models and found us through a friend. At the time, she was struggling to find bras that fit and was told we’d likely have her size.
Before, she only had one bra that fit well—a Cleo by Panache bra that she found at Bravissimo in London during a vacation. She’s been wearing it for a long time.

Her measurements: 33.4” underband, 43” upright bust, 45” leaning bust
Her breasts are very projected and quite full-all-around (especially at the top), but they don’t touch in the centre. There’s a bit of asymmetry, with the right breast being slightly larger than the left. She has average roots.
Sarah’s looking for support and a firm, secure fit. She prefers lacy styles but would also like a T-shirt bra in her size, if possible. She isn’t a fan of padded bras because she typically spills out of them.
Bra #1: Addison in 34K
Addison is an everyday lace bra, designed for smaller bands, bigger cups, that can be converted into a racerback.
Sarah’s first thoughts were that she loved the colour and material. She didn’t feel like her breasts were going to spill out or move around. The straps weren’t digging, the side wire height was perfect, and the underwire followed her roots well. Nothing felt uncomfortable.
However, the gore didn’t tack, and since her right breast is slightly larger than her left, there was a bit of top spillage on that side. She didn’t seem to mind though.
She preferred wearing the bra as a racerback.
Bra #2: Cooling Full Coverage in 34K
Cooling Full Coverage is the solution to boob sweat, chafing, and skin irritation. It features our signature ExoWire (the underwire is on the outside, cushioned against your skin) and internal sling (forming a barrier between each of your breasts and your torso).
She said the bra felt very nice on her body—comfortable and secure, with good top coverage. She especially appreciated the internal pockets, as she sometimes gets annoyed when she feels her breasts touching her torso.
She felt like she could wear this bra all day and might even accidentally fall asleep in it. It’s just that comfortable.
Sarah’s breasts are a little more projected than the cups, so they pushed against the bra, causing the gore to float. But that didn’t bother her since her breasts naturally don’t touch or chafe in the middle.
There was slight wrinkling on the sides, but no top spillage on the right.
Bra #3: Cooling Full Coverage in 34L
We sized up the cup to try to get the gore to tack, but the cups were then too big. Even though the gore was closer to tacking, there was more wrinkling at the sides and some at the top now too.
Bra #4: Ruby in 34K
Next, we have Ruby, a lightly padded lace bra. As soon as she put it on, she said it might be her favourite. She took back what she said earlier about not liking padded bras, explaining that maybe she just didn’t know what they were supposed to feel like.
Ruby is a part of our CoForm™ collection that uses thin seamed padding instead of traditional molded foam for nipple coverage. As a result, these bras have a very forgiving fit and form to your body.
She liked the round shape and lift and said this was perhaps the best bra she had ever tried. There wasn’t any top spillage. However, since she is very full-on-top, the top of her breasts pushed against the top of the gore, preventing it from tacking. But that didn’t bother her.
Bra #5: Anya in 34K
Anya is a full coverage, rigid, embroidered bra designed for very projected breasts and dramatic lift.
Sarah actually owns the sister bra, Penny and wasn’t sure if she had tried on Anya before. She liked how the lace was firm and everything felt like it was in place. She appreciated that the more opaque section was large enough to cover her nipples.
The centre gore tacked, but there was some extra space near the apex and slight top spillage on the right. She didn’t mind though. She thought Anya would be great for a night out.
Bra #6: Tasha in 34K
Tasha is a plunge, embroidered bra, also designed for very projected breasts and major lift.
Sarah thought the colour was pretty and said this bra wasn’t as rigid as Anya. She liked the firmness of the side sling and although it isn’t padded, the centre part felt padded. Once again, the gore didn’t tack but that didn’t bother her.
Wearing it as a racerback felt more supportive and lifting, which she preferred, but she also said that after a long while, she’d start feeling it in her shoulders.
Normally, any front strappy details would squeeze out her breast tissue, but Tasha’s sat nicely and weren’t uncomfortable. There wasn’t any spillage from her right breast.
Bra #7: Anya Smooth in 34K
We had Sarah try the smooth version of Anya. She liked it and said it felt softer and smoother than the original. Nothing cut in. Compared to the original, Anya Smooth provides a more natural lift.
However, the gore was floating, and like the original Anya, there was a bit of spillage from the right side. There was less gapping near the apex though.
Final thoughts
Sarah picked Ruby as her favourite, which she wasn’t expecting at all. She said the bra felt nice and it made her breasts look good.
UNDERSTANCE was my best 2024 discovery! I’ll be back!
The Ruby was a surprise for me too, 38I.
Definitely going to go and try on the Anya and Addison!! Thank you sharing this experience!
I was wondering what “gore doesn’t tack” means? I love these emails where you get to see how the various bras fit. Thanks so much for sharing.
Hi there, “gore doesn’t tack” means the center gore (where the underwire meets in the middle) isn’t sitting flush against your sternum. “Tacking” is a sign that the bra fits closely and is giving you maximum support.
