  1. Greetings — I would love it if you would make the Yara (or another bra with low wires) in L cup or above. I’m short and full and my torso is all boob, so it would be great to not be poked by wires all the time. Thank you!

    1. Hi MH, the upcoming Addison (I-N cups) is a lower coverage demi. It suits your description of what you are looking for!

  2. Hi! Any plans to make the Ginger wireless in 34L or 34M? I can’t wear underwire after my C section made my whole abdomen and ribs so sensitive but can’t find a comfortable wireless bra that fits smaller rib cage and L or M cup anywhere. I wear 38J around the house because it’s so comfy but I overflow and I really need the smaller band to have the support from the band. Your Ginger is the most comfortable straps I’ve ever tried in a bra!

    1. Hi Danielle, we are currently testing Ginger in K-L cups in smaller bands. Will likely include the new sizes in the restock!

  3. First of all – I really appreciate Understance and how open you are to feedback!

I see you’ll soon release the Addison FlexWire Demi Bra but only I-L in a 30 band; any plans to offer smaller sizes? I’m usually a 30E. If not I’d love for you to consider it! Short of that, do you have a comparable bra in my size?

I also see the upcoming Annette FlexWire Plunge Bra & Buffy FlexWire Balconette Bra, but both of those only go up to DD cups? They both look like bras I’d like to try but the sizes likely won’t work.

    1. Hi there, if you are looking for 30E UK (30DDD at Understance), Simone (true demi), Yara (a little less than demi), and Zoe (more of a teardrop shape) are all great options. Addison is developed specifically for bigger cup sizes and uses firm materials, which at a 30DDD would likely be too much. Annette and Buffy are developed specifically for smaller cup sizes and use softer materials, which might not be supportive/projected enough for 30DDD.

  4. Hiya Understance Team,

Firstly, I just want to give you folks a huge shoutout because this is the first time I’ve seen a truly size inclusive brand. I moved to Canada recently and always struggled with finding the right band size back in my home country. Big box stores would place me in anything from a 38DD to a 36E/F. Even after finding what I thought were comfortable bras, I still faced irritation, lack of support, painful underwires and more.

A few months ago I stumbled across an ad for Anya and was impressed by the lift and full coverage nature of the bra. I checked out the Understance page, tried the size calculator and was shocked to find out I was a 30I and not a 36F like I’d been wearing. I picked up an Anya, Salma and Penny. While the Anya and Salma fit like gloves, the Penny didn’t suit my shape. Later, I ordered a few more styles like Yara, and Nora and two spacer bras in my sister size 32H. The Yara fits for the most part but I do spill out sometimes while the Nora fits like a charm. I recently ordered the Paige and Anya Lace variants on sale and I’m excited to try them since they are made around the same style as Anya and Salma!

More than anything, I just want to say that you guys have changed the way I dress for the better. I finally feel confident wearing crop tops and body contouring outfits. I no longer have to wear tops that cover my neckline and more than anything, I feel a lot more confident about being a larger chested girl. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. <3

    1. Comments like this remind us of our purpose as a company. We are so happy that you found bras that suit you! Everyone deserves to be comfortable and confident.

  5. Hi, while I’m loving that there are more and more styles coming in cups larger than H, it’s somewhat disappointing that the vast majority of the styles in those sizes (existing and planned) are full coverage. Are there any plans for more non-full styles?

    1. Yes, we will come out with a few non-full coverage options in H+ next year. Addison is a demi I-N that arrives in January. Later in the year, we will have Georgia (DDD-K balconette) and Yara (DDD-K demi) in a new lace.

      1. Yara in a new lace sounds exciting! But…. you’re cutting back the size range? Are you also going to rerelease Chelsea in the new lace too for anything smaller than Yara?

Please don’t forget that being size inclusive also includes remembering the very petite women too!

      2. Hi Kylee, for Yara in a new lace, we are cutting back the size range. We are testing K and L cups in smaller bands to see if they work. We likely won’t release Chelsea in the new lace too, as underwire unpadded bras are not very popular for our petite size range. We will be adding a few new styles for the petite line, they will be wireless padded bras.

    2. I just saw the Hello 2025 email, and it had a link to this page. I didn’t know that you published your product release plans, this is awesome! I really liked Understance before, and this is just one more brownie point. I’m on a goal to “no buy” or only buy to replace, so this plan helps to know that I only have to wait about 2 months for the sleepwear.

I am also very excited to see that smooth T-shirt bras are planned (from the email) – this is what I miss the most. I wear mainly wool& dresses (a company that is very similarly-aligned with inclusivity and practicality), so I need smooth under garments. Even a few bras I have now kinda show through, but I try not to let it bother me.

I look forward to supporting this brand for all of 2025! Thank you!

  6. I am so thankful that you are making a tshirt friendly -Jasmine! I love my Understance bras and have a drawer full but miss having a smooth touch bra to wear under my white tshirts! Also in speaking of white, why is it so hard to come by these days? I would love to see some options that aren’t cream or latte but true white, too! Thanks for being a leader and a local (Canadian) company that supports (literally) women <3

    1. Hi Monika, we haven’t launched many products in white, because it’s a bit of an unpopular colour 🙁 Our customers have mentioned that it’s difficult to care for, gets stained easily, and isn’t invisible under white shirts (tones with a touch of red tend to do better).

  7. As a 28J (sometimes 28K), I am disappointed to see that most of your upcoming styles start at a 30 band. Everyone sells 30+ bands, but 28 (not to mention 26!) is hard to find. I am a big fan of Yara and am looking forward to trying the Jasmine, but I would love if you’d consider including more 28 bands in your standard offerings. Thank you!

    1. I second this! I need a 28 or 26 band and just tried Understance because you offered a 28 band with low-projection cups. I too would love if you’d consider including more 28 bands.

      1. Me three!
I try on many of your 30 bands, and some I love but know I need the band to be tighter. So i send them back unless its final sale. I am grateful that Chelsea fits me as well as it does (I now have 4) but I’d like another option. I’d probably live in Cate in a 28 band if it was offered.

  8. This is amazing, thank you so much for letting us see this!!!! Not sure if this is something you would make, but since you’ve got pajamas coming, I’m searching for something to wear to sleep that would help cushion between my breasts as I sleep on my side and it’s not comfortable!!! I don’t wear a bra to sleep at the moment as I have sensory issues. I’ve seen something like a pillow bra (marketed to prevent wrinkles, which isn’t what I’m concerned about) but it seems up your alley to innovate something like that. Preferably something in a soft fabric like cotton or modal or even linen to keep cool. Also you rule!!

    1. Hi Sarah, we’ve got bust support sleepwear in the works! Think a minimal support wireless bra built into a sleep shirt or slip. One of the designs atm is a cross over, which should help a little bit with separation for side sleepers.

  9. Hey there,
I’m absolutely in love with your products and your brand! As a Canadian female athlete under the age of 25 with a natural size 30K bust, I feel seen for the first time! Panache, Freya, Curvy Kate, etc… For the most part, serve grandma with a side of great aunt. 1000x thank you! Your bras are also the first underwire garments I find truly comfortable! There are groups like Knix who claim to be size inclusive, who aren’t in the practical sense. Understance is! Thank you for being awesome! Can we talk about your price point? Options in my size range from 100 to 1000$ CND. You’ve masterfully managed to create the most comfortable, the most affordable, the most beautiful and the most versatile garments for all shapes and size. I tip my hat off you all at Understance!

Can you bring the flex wire to swimwear? There are British and Australian groups such as Marvell Lane who create beautiful practical pieces. I wager you can do even better! Collaborations with other Vancouver based companies such as Left on Friday would be so epic!

    Love,
    Zoé

    1. Hi Zoé, thank you so much for your kind words! It’s not easy to run a bra brand that offers a fuller size range while keeping prices accessible. We stay lean where we can, but never cut corners when it comes to our products.

We’ve gotten a few requests for swim, but we don’t know much about the market. We encourage you (and anyone else who wants swim) to fill out this little form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSexRhVlDsQ1aL4hnlFXZiew00j072M20FqUgeCDRVzprnfouw/viewform.
